Networking for Life Scientists

Scientific career development resources

As a scientist just starting out on my career, I've found that there is a derth of publications and guides to help young scientists get started. Which ones are the best? Well, here is a list of some that I've found to be interesting and helpful:

1. Career Development Booklet, by ScienceCareers. This is a first stop for career development, it holds at least one chapter for each step of career advancement in science, from writing a CV to interviewing for a job to securing a permanent position and grants.
2. ScienceCareers.org How-To Guides. Also from Science Careers, these are guides that have been organized into several logical groups.

What resources have you found to be helpful?
